Shanghai Jade Buddha Monastery, one of the city's ten landmark tourism
spots, built in the style of Song (960-1279) palaces, is one of the key
Buddhist temples in China. Chinese and foreign tourists flock to the Jade
Buddha Monastery despite the intense heat of 39 degrees Celsius (102.2
degrees Fahrenheit) on July 2.
