Xianyang Museum

Located in the Zhongshan Street, Xianyang City of Shaanxi Province, the Xianyang Museum is a local history museum. The museum was reconstructed based on a Confucian temple and opened to public in 1962.

The museum boasts a collection of over 12,000 cultural relics of the Qin (221-206BC), Han (206BC-220AD) and Tang (618-907) dynasties, 20 of which are of the national first class.

The exhibition hall of Qin and Han historical cultural relics mainly displays the articles unearthed from the Xianyang Palace, the Wei City and excavations from mausoleums of Qin and Han dynasties. In 1981, a new exhibition hall was added to exhibit more than 3,000 pieces of horses and soldiers
from the satellite tomb of Liu Bang's Changling Mausoleum, the first emperor of the Han Dynasty.
